About Ms. Kruschke Alfonso
Hello! I am Ms. Theresa Kruschke Alfonso and this year, my 21st at Greendale High School, I will be teaching Honors Spanish 4, AP/CAPP Honors Spanish 5, and CAPP Spanish 6. Previously I taught at Oconomowoc High School and in Milwaukee Public Schools at Vincent High School, Riverside High School and Rufus King High School.
I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science in Education and Spanish. Part of my undergraduate studies was completed at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In 2005 I received a masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction, focusing on second language learning. In order to maintain/improve my language skills and cultural understandings, I continue to study and travel. I have traveled extensively in Mexico, studying in Oaxaca and teaching English in Mexico City. I also have studied and traveled in Guatemala. I have spent several summers in Peru teaching for Mount Mary College as well as taking classes. I continue to travel to Mexico where my husband's family lives.
I look forward to teaching Spanish and to having a great year!
